Every position on this page is computed, right here, from orbital mechanics: the planets from the JPL Keplerian elements (1800–2050), the Moon from a 19-term lunar series, then rotated into the sky above your latitude and longitude. No data is fetched. Planet positions are good to a few arcminutes, the Moon to about 0.1°, rise and set times to a couple of minutes.
Click any body in either dial, or in the table, for its coordinates, distance, phase and rise/set times. Left dial: the Sun at centre, planets at today's true positions, counter-clockwise motion, ♈ marks the vernal equinox. Right dial: the dome of sky overhead, north at the top, east on the left as when you look up. The dashed curve is the ecliptic, the road the Sun, Moon and planets travel.
Times are shown in your device's time zone. Pick a city or type a latitude and longitude for any other place on Earth.
